Screen printing is a method to transfer ink onto a substrate using a mesh. Long ago, a mesh was made out of silk, hence the name silk screen printing. Mesh currently is made out of polyester. By pressing ink through a mesh using a stencil (usually light sensitive), ink is distrubuted to a variety of print areas, most commonly used, paper and textile.
